Problem
During ISO install of Rocky Linux 8, the Anaconda screen freezes during the install of Rocky Linux 8 on VMware vSphere.
How to Fix
Ensure the ISO image you use for the Rocky Linux 8 install is not uploaded from your local machine, but available directly on the VM datastore.
Origin of the Problem
Performance issues for a direct-attach ISO are unpredictable and can cause hang-ups during the Rocky Linux 8 install when using an ISO, causing the keyboard and mouse to not respond at the console.
